Bruce Evan Jennings, MA, LMHC

Bruce Jennings is a therapist for Sarkis Family Psychiatry and a research associate for Sarkis Clinical Trials. In his role as therapist, he provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. As a research associate, Mr. Jennings participates in qualifying subjects for clinical research studies. His responsibilities include obtaining psychiatric histories from potential research subjects, administering rating scales, and preparing preliminary psychological evaluations.

Mr. Jennings has more than twenty years’ experience in mental health counseling in Florida. Prior to joining Sarkis Family Psychiatry, he was a mental health counselor in private practice. He has also worked as a psychotherapist at a crisis stabilization unit and juvenile detention center for Mental Health Services, Inc. in Gainesville, Florida. He was a family therapist for the adolescent program at Charter Springs Hospital in Ocala, Florida. He has provided counseling to individuals with a wide range of mental health problems including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, phobias, and substance abuse disorders.

Mr. Jennings earned his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, magna cum laude, from Murray State University, Murray, Kentucky. He earned his Master of Arts degree in psychology from Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Diane Farris, PhD, LMHC

Diane Farris, PhD, LMHCDiane Farris, PhD, LMHC, received her doctorate from the University of Chicago where she studied play and attachment. She trained and taught in gestalt therapy. Farris consults in the area of psychological type and wrote the book Type Tales (CAPT, 2000) on type and children. She also wrote and illustrated In Dolphin Time (Macmillan, 1995). She taught in a gifted program and has an interest in that area.

Her work with children employs play therapy (often sandtray work), art and psychological type as approaches to family, friendship and learning issues. In concert with seeing children, Farris works with family communication. Interests also include mindfulness work with adults. Dr. Farris works with children, youth and adults.

 

Geoffrey Lee, PhD

Geoffrey Lee, Ph.D.Geoffrey Lee, Ph.D. has been part of the Gainesville community since 1999 and part of Sarkis Family Psychiatry since 2009. He holds a bachelor’s in psychology and a masters and doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida.

Dr. Lee utilizes an integrative psychotherapy approach, incorporating a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic treatments to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of his patients. He is well versed in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and his treatment approach balances warmth and support with efficiency and progress. A generalist by training, Dr. Lee works with a variety of mental health concerns, but specializes in ADHD diagnosis and treatment, anxiety and depression. Dr. Lee offers Ability and Achievement testing (for ADHD and learning disability assessment), individual, group, marital, and family therapy.

 

Will Siegal, RMHCI, NCC

Will Siegal Will Siegal is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who joined Sarkis Family Psychiatry in 2011. He received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of West Florida and his Master's and Specialist's degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Florida.

In his role as counselor/therapist, Will provides individual, couples and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Will practices therapy from a family systems and wellness based mindset. His approach balances validation, warmth and support while still addressing areas of life in need of change and progress. He is well versed in a variety of therapeutic techniques, which allow him to build a therapeutic experience around the individualized needs of his clients.

Will works with a variety of mental health/family concerns, but specializes in family functionality, ADD/ADHD coaching, interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution, value exploration, self esteem and emotions. Will also plays a role as a research associate for Sarkis Clinical Trials where he participates in qualifying subjects for clinical research studies through obtaining histories from potential research subjects.

 

Jocelyn Lee, PhD

Jocelyn Lee, PhD Jocelyn A. Lee, Ph.D. has lived in Gainesville since 1997 and has a strong commitment to serving our commnity. She has been a part of Sarkis Family Psychiatry since 2011. She holds a bachelor's in psychology and a masters and doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida.

Dr. Lee looks forward to working with a variety of clients seeking to make positive change and/or adjustment in their lives. She welcomes working with clients on a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, stress management, relationships, life transitions, career concerns, self-esteem, negative thinking, and emotional abuse.

Dr. Lee works with individuals and couples and uses an integrative psychotherapy approach with a foundation in humanistic/existential therapy while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral and other evidence based treatments.
