The American Academy of Pediatrics now indicates that kids as young as four years old can be diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Gainesville psychiatrist Dr. Michael Johnson comments on the change.

Nobody Chooses a Mental Illness

Regarding Thomas Szasz's "Universal Health Care Isn't Worth Our Freedom" (op-ed, July). Although the principles which Dr. Szasz espouses are worthy of discussion, I am bit outraged by his idea that schizophrenia does not belong in the same category of "unwanted happenings" such as lupus, leukemia and prostate cancer.
